Description   U.S. GI HBT Cap that completes the WWII U.S. GI Herringbone Twill Fatigue Uniform. In May 1941, the War Department announced the introduction of the new green herringbone twill (HBT) uniform.  Our HBT reproduction is made like the original from 100% cotton twill in the correct sage green color, with proper vent holes in the sides.  This cap was worn by both Army and Marines early in the war.
