This is a new reproduction of the US Army Air Corps scarf worn by pilots in WWII.  This reproduction is made of polyester instead of silk, but retains the look and feel of the original.  Ground types would laugh about pilots having it so easy, wearing silk scarves, etc, but if you try scanning the sky all afternoon, see what your collar does to your neck.  The silk scarf was a necessary, and fashionable, piece of gear.  It features the embroidered Army Air Corps insignia and the words "Army Air Forces."
