Description   New Reproduction U.S. WWII Service Shoe   These are the boots every Soldier was issued when they entered the service prior to and during the war.  They were worn under the trousers in garrison and with leggings in the field.   They were replaced in the field by the M43 double buckle boots, but they continued to be worn throughout the war.   Our reproduction is the highest quality and includes leather uppers and sole, permanent leather-lined footbed, rubber half-sole and rubber heel.  These are great boots that will last you a long, long time. Authenticity note:  These came from a brand new supplier, so I'm trying them out.  There are two errors on the boots; They're reddish brown instead of russet and the heel is the sloped paratrooper heel rather than the squared standard heel.   I've talked to a number of vets who said they shined their russet boots so much they turned brown anyway.  They're still well made quality boots.  Your choice of course.
